Here we go: application to join the fourth edition of the #TF4Women Fellowship is open until 4th July! 🙋♀️
Are you a woman with refugee status or subsidiary protection, residing in France, and willing to enter the French tech & digital job market? Our Fellowship programme is designed for you!
A free 6-month programme
Every year since 2018, we have supported a cohort of a dozen women in France in their plan to retrain for a career in web development, data analysis, UX-UI design, cybersecurity, digital marketing and more..!
Over a 6-month period, we meet every week on Tuesday evenings for a 2-hour session, online or offline.
As well as group meetings, the programme provides access to online training content, to be completed at your own pace. These certified courses allow you to work on the technical skills you need to carry out your professional development plan.
To support you in getting the most out of the programme, we also take into account some of the logistics behind the training, such as family responsibilities or connectivity . Participating Fellows can access IT material on a loan and Techfugees can also cover babysitting and transportation fees.
The programme is 100% free for its Fellows!
Joining the #TF4Women community
Being selected to enter the next Fellowship programme in France means joining an amazing community of peers across Europe! You enter a safe space to regain self-confidence and draw energy from, thanks to a powerful sorority spirit ✨
Each Fellow also gets support from a trio of professionals selected within the Techfugees’ network, in accordance with her professional plan. Personal mentors join weekly sessions to guide you through the French job market’s rules. Trainers focus on supporting the building of technical skills.
Additionally, a third volunteer is available to meet you for practical conversations in French, to help you feel more at ease in casual discussions in a professional context. Intensive classes and online French training are provided for those who need more support to access B2 level by the end of the programme.
Last but not least, in addition to this ‘official’ curriculum, the Techfugees Community Coordinator will be inviting you to regular activities, to get more familiar with French Culture and its way of life!
A springboard to qualified & sustainable job 🚀
Techfugees’ #TF4Women programmes aim at accelerating the professional inclusion of refugee women in digital and tech jobs. So, networking events, conferences, and workshops attendance, as well as visits and shadowing within corporate companies and startups, are also at the heart of the experience as a Fellow.
We endeavour to foster at least one serious and relevant employment lead with a potential employer for each of you. It could be an apprenticeship or permanent full-time contract, but it will for sure be an open door to a new empowered life in France.
