The challenges

Techfugees Jordan is coming back with a hackathon in Amman to find tech & innovative solutions to challenges faced by refugees.

Schedule & Tools

Techfugees’ Coder | Maker hackathon is both a competition and a community gathering to pitch ideas to solve challenges facing refugees in Jordan, It’s implemented in partnership with our Jordanian Strategic Partner, Zain.

Over three days, participants will form teams to work on finding solutions for these challenges, meeting professional mentors to help them tackle problems and also importantly to network and discuss the current refugees’ issues.

Three main challenges will be presented on Thursday, to be solved by the end of the weekend choosing one of the two innovation track to solve these challenges: (1) the Coder Track tends to solve problems by coding apps and websites, and (2) the Maker Track tends to solve problems by creating new products and/or techniques.

Find out about the challenges on the event page.

Each track will have two winning teams; each team will be eligible for a cash prize and internship/training provided by Zain, Oasis500 and Mixed Dimensions.
