Remember last year, Techfugees and its local chapter in Paris started a pilot programme aimed at supporting the professional inclusion of women refugees in the French tech ecosystem. For 6 months, 12 talented women got involved in training, mentoring and networking sessions every week. Three out of four fellows came up with and began a new professional project after this unforgettable experience!
This first pilot programme taught us a lot as well 🤓That’s why we redesigned some things to achieve even more impact this year.
Our one and only objective is to give the strongest chances to find a job in the tech field to every single fellow we will select to take part in this year’s programme. So:
1️⃣ We’ve decided to focus our efforts on three main trades: web development, digital marketing and project management.
2️⃣ Among others, we partner with Open Classroom and Google to provide fellows with online and offline resources to train and develop their skills.
3️⃣ We will hold a Job dating event next December to introduce “our” fellows to tech corporates who are looking for talents.
Mentorship will still be an essential part of the programme as well as tech events like Viva Technology and of course friendship, trust and goodwill 👭
