About this Event
Join Techfugees Berlin for our first of many Techfugees Berlin Talks on March 8th at 19:00 CET. For our first talk, we are bringing together a panel of migrant entrepreneurs and investors in the German tech startup scene to discuss what it takes to become a successful Techpreneur. Our panelists will dive into their journeys as tech entrepreneurs, the challenges and barriers faced by entrepreneurs with a refugee background in Germany, as well as tips on where to get started as a migrant entrepreneur.
Jag Singh, Managing Director at Techstars (Twitter: @jagsingh, @techstars)
Firas Khalifeh, CEO / CTO at Carbon Mobile (Twitter: @firasCarbonizer, @GetCarbonMobile)
Adam Moalla, Founder & Managing Director at Moalla Ventures (Twitter: @amdmala)
Marco Muccini, Chapter Lead, Techfugees Berlin
There will be an optional 30 minute networking session hosted on Wonder after the panel discussion starting at 20:00 CET. Don’t miss out on a chance to connect with our speakers and others interested in refugee entrepreneurship!
Who should join?
Anyone can join! But this talk may be particularly interesting to refugee entrepreneurs, organizations supporting refugees, people working in innovation and entrepreneurship spaces with an interest in impact and inclusion. We will be focusing on the German ecosystem, but the topics that will be discussed will be translatable to countries across Europe and beyond.
How do I attend?
We will send out a Zoom link in advance of the talk, as well as a Wonder link for the networking session.
