For this year’ World Refugee Day, on 20th June, our chapters in London and Australia are mobilizing to organize meetups with Techfugees’ community all around the world!

For Techfugees third Sydney meet-up, our Australian team have as Guest of Honour, Zoe Ghani, Chief Technology Officer of The Iconic, one of Australia’s largest online fashion retailers who came to Australia as a young refugee from Afghanistan. Following the talk and fireside chat with her, participants will hear from the Honorable Ed Husic MP and Dor Akech Achiek from Settlement Services International.
The formal part of the evening will finish with updates from the Techfugees community and a mini- pitch session with refugee-led businesses and ideas. If you have an idea or an existing business you want to pitch for business or social venture, please contact techfugeesaustralia@gmail.com!
