February 22nd (English) & February 25th (French) – Panel Discussion
Come discover our collaborators! Welcome Collective, The Refugee Centre, and Techfugees will give an overview of their mission and the work currently being done at their organizations. They will also present four central issues currently being faced by refugees and newcomers. These issues will be the topics explored during the next two workshops.
March 1st – Workshop #1:
Participants will sign up to participate in one of the four discussion rooms to explore one of the challenges presented during the panel presentation. This session will focus on applying the guiding principles of “Building With” communities and applying a human centered approach to design.
March 8th – Workshop #2:
Participants will regroup and finalize their ideas, followed by a solutions presentation at the end of the workshop.
Please note that participants can attend the panel discussion without participating in the workshop, but must attend the panel discussion to participate in the workshop.
