Techfugees on the “Civic Innovation Hub” at the OECD Forum 2018

Our CEO Josephine Goube has been invited as a speaker at the OECD Forum 2018 in Paris.

At the Civic Innovation Hub, she will give a short pitch and share how the Techfugees community is using technology to serve the public good and have an impact on refugees’ daily lives according to the OECD Better Life Index.

The OECD Better Life Index is an online tool where citizens can tell the OECD what matters for their well-being, based on 11 different dimensions (housing, income, jobs, community, education, environment, civic engagement, health, life satisfaction, safety, work-life balance).

Nearly 3000 people from a diverse array of backgrounds and countries are attending to the OECD Forum 2018 to reflect on what brings us together and shape solutions to build much-needed bridges focus on addressing three interconnected issues: international cooperation, inclusive growth, and digitalization.

The rich experience of the Techfugees community over the past three years will no doubt be very relevant in contributing to this theme!
